WONS 2005 Paper Submission Guidelines

Attendance by at least one author is mandatory, please register before sending the camera-ready copy.
Manuscripts not associated with a valid registration will not be included in the conference proceeding.

The conference will only consider original papers for review that have not been previously published or are not currently under review by another conference or journal. The submissions will be reviewed for technical merits and relevance to the conference. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings by the IEEE.


Preparing Your Manuscript

Authors are invited to submit either full or short papers. Full papers of up to a total of TEN (10) pages. The short papers (Future research directions, on going work, visionary, innovative papers) should not be longer than SIX (6) pages. This includes all figures, tables, and references. For full papers, up to 4 additional pages can be purchased at $100 per page. Extra page charge can be paid along with the registration fee.

Manuscript Instructions

All manuscript should be submitted electronically in Postscript format using your author account at the WCMT web site. Please prepare your U.S. Letter-size (8.5" x 11") paper as a plain ASCII PostScript file with NO encoding, condensing, or encapsulation, following guideline for proceedings manuscripts. Guidelines for generating and submitting PostScript files are also available on IEEE Internet site.

If you plan to submit a PDF file, you MUST adhere to the following PDF specifications.

IMPORTANT: Authors must check their final pdf files before submission to verify that all fonts have been properly embedded and subset. Some font manufacturers now flag their fonts to not embed. These fonts must be avoided. All fonts MUST be Type 1 or 3 PostScript fonts from the Latin 1 Fontset. Our PostScript printers will not recognize any other fonts. Do not use TrueType, bitmapped, or Ryumin fonts. 
Some older FTP applications (RapidFTP included) may require the user to choose a remote operating system type. In these instances choose: "MS Windows NT - Unix".
Papers that have been improperly submitted or improperly formatted by the submission date will not be considered. To avoid last minute problems, authors are advised to submit their papers well before the deadline. Thank you for your understanding.
